(Video): Mason Mount scores his first England goal with left footed finish

Mason Mount has scored for England after coming on as a substitute.

Copying his old friend Tammy’s efforts in midweek, Mount entered the pitch in the second half but made his presence felt with a really good goal. He and Harry Kane pressed high up to steal the ball back, and the striker then ad plenty of time to pass it to Mount in a better position to beat the keeper.

It was no screamer, but it just showed that vital nose for goal he has.

It will be another nudge for Gareth Southgate to keep picking the midfielder, as he did against Montenegro in the preceding qualifier.
