Two Chelsea first team players linked with slightly surprising January exit

Chelsea’s youngsters pulled off another impressive result on Tuesday night, and while their great form is great fun for fans, the players competing with those kids for minutes won’t be as delighted.

Several previously important first teamers are now almost totally frozen out, and are now being linked with moves away from the club.

The Telegraph this evening reported that the Blues are considering getting rid of Pedro and Olivier Giroud. That’s no surprise, neither is playing at all, and as they’re both well past 30, their time has seemingly come.

However what is a surprise is the notion that they will go in January.

That would allow us to get some money for them, but it would also leave our squad quite thin in attacking areas. It would only take an injury to Michy Batshuayi, for example, to leave us with just Tammy up front, should Giroud go.

We’re sure Frank would rather keep them – but there’s no telling how much pressure will be on him from the money men upstairs.
