Reece James to start – Predicted Chelsea Xl vs Valencia

Chelsea face Valencia in Spain tonight in their second to last group game of the Champions League.

Frank Lampard’s side need all three points to progress into the knockout stages with one game against Lille to spare.

Lampard will have a couple of decisions to make in his starting eleven, but you’d imagine the centre backs, midfield three, and centre forward to stay the same as the team that narrowly lost 2-1 to the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City over the weekend.

Mason Mount did not start the match and might feel like he has a chance to start tonight, but I’m not so sure. Emerson could be dropped in order for Reece James to start on the right, with captain Cesar Azpilicueta moving over to the left.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is not in the squad and will be saved for Saturday after a slight knock on the international break.

Predicted Chelsea Xl vs Valencia (4-3-3) –

Kepa, James, Zouma, Tomori, Azpilicueta. Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic. Pulisic, Willian, Abraham.
