“They are really young, but they are really good” – Hazard backs Chelsea to beat Man City

Eden Hazard is no longer a Chelsea player, but he left on good terms and will always be a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge – especially if he continues saying nice things like this.

Sky Sports caught up with the Belgian winger on international duty, and asked him about next weekend’s big clash in the Premier League – Chelsea against Man City.

While Hazard is all too aware of the quality that Pep Guardiola’s team has – citing a recent heavy defeat with Chelsea against the reigning Champions, he’s also backing old team to get a result.

“[Can Chelsea win?] Of course I think so. It’s not going to be easy. It’s hard to play there,” he said in quotes carried by the Sun.

“Last time we played them we lose 6-0, so bad memories for me and for Chelsea as well,” he went on.

“But I think this season they are really good. They are really young, but they are really good, so why not go there and win the game?” Hazard concluded.

He’s right. We have no reason to be afraid of City, who have shown increasing mental fragility in recent weeks. They are still a force to be reckoned with, and we will do well to get a result, but you’d be mad to count us out.
