Quincy Promes to make Premier League move “if he has the chance”

Chelsea have now faced Ajax across two really enjoyable games in the Champions League group stage, and there have been plenty of impressive performances on both sides.

Our two games with the Dutch side, combined with the games we saw in their run to the semi finals last year, have given Blues fans plenty of chances to see their stars in action, and some have really taken their chances on the world stage.

Frenkie de Jong and Mattias de Ligt made the move last summer, and this year it seems like another wave will do the same. Hakim Ziyech really impressed against us, as did Quincy Promes.

The winger scored on Tuesday night, and followed that up by opening the door for a Premier League transfer.

The Daily Mail had quotes from the winger who responded to the mooted idea of a move to the English top flight by saying “to me, if I have a chance, maybe in the future.”

He looks wonderfully talented, but we should remember that he’s 27, not a kid anymore, and has already had a shot at the big time in Spain with Seville.

In any case, we’re well stocked with talented attackers right now. Do we need another?
