Frank Lampard has been fronting the press this afternoon at Cobham, as he gets his Chelsea team ready to travel up to Manchester to face the reigning Premier League champions in their own back yard.
The Etihad will host a match that on paper, should be epic. Chelsea sit one place and one point ahead of City in the league, and are joint on points with Leicester City who are just ahead in second place.
Chelsea are the league’s current highest scorers away from home so far this season, whilst City are the league’s current highest scorers at home. So if I was a betting man I would not be placing anything on a goalless draw!
After the international break, there will always be injury concerns, and Chelsea in particular have been very unlucky in that department so far this season.
But as reported by Football London, Lampard has revealed that Chritian Pulisic is in contention to play after shaking off a hip injury. But Callum Hudson-Odoi is a doubt.
Lampard “He [Pulisic] has been training and is in contention.
“Callum has a hamstring problem, he is struggling to make this game. Nothing more on Ruben.”
