Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has strongly hinted that the Blues are set to go out and spend big as soon as their transfer ban is lifted.
The senior executive was speaking to David Conn of the Gurdian in a really interesting interview which covered a variety of topics, but was focused on Roman Abramovich’s ownership of the club
Buck insisted Abramovich is as involved as ever in the running of the club, and has lost none of his passion. When questions were raised of a potential sale, Buck totally ruled it out.

The idea that the club was “on hold”, as Conn put it, was the one that drwe the most interesting answer. The American said that fans of the club should wait to see “what happens in the next transfer window,” adding that if they were to spend a “zillion” on players, there would be few accusations that anything is “on hold”.
It’s rare to get any word out of Chelsea’s hierarchy, let alone something so tantalizing. Let’s not go too mad – but this is creating a big wave for a reason.
