The Evening Standard report that Leicester are determined to dig their heels in and keep the defender for the rest of the season at least. They want to offer him a monster new deal and promise him the world as a key part in Brendan Rodgers’ impressive Foxes side.
A move to Chelsea might have its own attractions for the 22 year old, but his club are under no pressure to do a deal soon. They can easily hold on to him until the summer, and hope he boosts his price further with England at the Euros.
