John Terry has denied that he was involved in blocking a deal for Sergio Aguero back in 2009, on social media.
However JT has now responded to a regurgitation of that story in the Sun on his Instagram, denying it and referring to the story as “nonsense”.
We might never know the truth, but if you were ever blaming Terry for the club not signing Aguero, you clearly overrate the influence of any player – even JT, on decisions which are going to cost the club £50m or so pounds.
