Frank Lampard is not a happy man.
His risky team selection has backfired, with West Ham up 1-0 at the game enters the 85th minute. The good news is that Chelsea have a corner, and they’ve sent all their players forward to attack it.
The bad news is that the set piece has just been booted straight over the heads of everyone in the box, sailing out of play for a goal kick almost by the far corner flag. Was that Hudson-Odoi?
It was a dire corner at a dire moment, and Lampard’s face, which you can see in the image above, tells its own story.
We haven’t seen a manager this angry since Maurizio Sarri when Kepa refused to be subbed off. Antonio Conte had a sour look to him too sometimes, and Lamps is clearly carrying on the tradition.
Let’s hope he doesn’t have cause to scowl like this again too often this season.
