Frank Lampard keen to bring in new Goalkeeper coach to help Blues Keeper

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly having doubts over Blues number one goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to The Daily Mail.

As a result, the publication claims that Lampard is now looking to bring Goalkeeper coach Shay Given in from Derby County.

Lampard wanted to bring Given with him to Chelsea when he arrived in the summer, but the Blues hierarchy were keen to promote Henrique Hilario instead.

Given decided to stay at Derby and work under new boss Philip Cocu.

Lampard is allegedly most concerned with Kepa’s ability to defend set pieces, and believes Given can help in that department.

The Spaniard arrived at Chelsea for a world-record £71.6million fee from Athletic Bilbao last year.

He is great with the ball at his feet and is a good shot stopper, but concerns have began to creep in recently after he has let in a number of soft goals that he would have believed he should be saving.
