Frank Lampard was a keen admirer of Ben Chilwell’s England show last night

As the transfer speculation heats up, Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell put on another fine performance in an England shirt last night.

Gareth Southgate’s side beat Montenegro 7-0 and Chilwell received the Man of the Match award after notching up 3 assists on the night.

Reports have been coming in over the last few months of Chelsea’s alleged interest in signing the 22-year old, most notably this one via reliable Telegraph journalist Matt Law.

The Blues are transfer banned but as we know by now, have an appeal date set for November the 20th for the Court of Arbitration for Sport to hear their case. If it’s thrown out, they could be allowed to sign players in January, and Chilwell is on the shortlist.

The England man took to Instagram after his great showing and posted a picture with the MOTM award.

As reported by The Metro, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard liked the image, adding fuel to the fire and clearly being impressed with what he saw!
