N’Golo Kante played 90 minutes for France in their game against Moldova tonight, appearing to finish the game without any problems.
It’s a match we’d have rather he didn’t have, and if he now gets to miss next Sunday’s game against Albania, we will rejoice.
It will make tonight’s game into a perfect little warmup for the France star, ahead of the game against Manchester City next weekend. If he plays again for France, we will really start to worry about playing him for a fourth time in two weeks in that City game.
Les Bleus have qualified for next summer’s tournament now, and just need to ensure that they top the group ahead of Turkey now.
Let’s hope that Deschamps doesn’t feel the need to play the injury plagued former Leicester man again. We need him at full force through this Christmas period, and this little break would be a great start.
