The five names reported to be on Chelsea’s transfer target list for January

Chelsea found out today that the date for their appeal hearing over the transfer ban will be on the 20th of November.

It’s then that the club will find out whether CAS will rule on reducing their two window ban to one (already served).

That exciting news has so far meant just one thing – the return of transfer rumours. We wouldn’t be sure any of these have any truth to them, but the hungry scribes at the Metro have already written up five potential targets for us in January.

They claim that Jadon Sancho, Nathan Ake, Wilf Zaha, Moussa Dembele of Lyon and Ben Chilwell of Leicester are on the radar of Lampard and the scouting department of Chelsea.

All of them would mean a serious outlay, and it’s hard to imagine any of those deals being pulled off in January, especially if we can’t even start negotiating until later this month.

On the other hand, after a year out of the market, maybe we’ll have everything lined up to make a splash?
