“I didn’t believe in myself” – Morata can’t stop talking about Chelsea hell

Alvaro Morata is long gone from Chelsea now, in fact it’s coming up on a year since he pulled the January escape cord and fled to Atletico Madrid.

He seems a lot happier there, and we’re happy for him too. It was very clear for a very long time that it wasn’t going to work out at Chelsea, and the fact we found a taker for him at all was a bonus.

But despite his bad experiences in London being in the rear view mirror now, the striker can’t help bringing it up all the time. To be fair, it’s often just what he’s asked about at times like now, when he’s back on Spain duty, but he can’t help but feel he could be a little more diplomatic about the whole thing.

The Metro have his full quotes on the Stamford Bridge ordeal he suffered:

“I had stopped enjoying it… there were times I didn’t even believe in myself,” Morata revealed.

“In some games in England I felt like when my teammates saw me unmarked, I knew they thought I wouldn’t do anything good with the ball.”

We know how they felt Alvaro…
