Christian Pulisic has been left out of the USA’s squad for their next two friendlies.
The winger had apparently been suffering from a hip injury, according to Frank Lampard’s most recent press conference after the Crystal Palace game. He will now get a fortnight off to rest.

While his national team will want him available for them soon, they will also see the advantage of giving him a rest after a vital stretch of the season where his good form has seen him break into the Chelsea team.
Overwork him now, even if his injury is minor, and you risk burning him out. Let him rest out for this break, play well when we return and settle his place in the team before you start taxing him with transatlantic flights for games against Cuba.
For this week at least, Chelsea fans can breathe a sigh of relief, and expect a fresh Pulisic for the big game against Man City.
