Chelsea ‘considering a move’ to sign £10 million rated Ligue 1 striker

Chelsea are ready to battle a host of other interested clubs in an attempt to sign Metz striker Habib Diallo in January, according to Team Talk.

The publication claims that Chelsea, Newcastle, Norwich City, Watford, Tottenham and Leicester City have all been watching the striker recently and could make a move in January.

Chelsea are obviously transfer banned currently but could be able to sign players in January if their ban is overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

They may also face losing Olivier Giroud in the same month if he decides that he needs to leave in order to get further game time. Michy Batshuayi might also consider his future for the same reason.

So striker is an area on the pitch where Frank Lampard may need to add extra personnel.

The Daily Mail claim that Diallo is worth £10 million and has scored 8 goals in 13 Ligue 1 appearances for Metz this season.

Diallo is 24 years old and has been capped once by Senegal.
