Chelsea’s close fought win over Watford has earned them their 7th consecutive away win, the first time the club has managed since 1989, when they were in the second tier.
We wrote ahead of this run of games that it would be vital to get our season on track, and so it’s proving. We’ve had some easier fixtures, but away wins in the Premier League are never easy, as today proved.

Frank Lampard’s start couldn’t be going much better, and with Man U and Arsenal dropping points this weekend, we’re surging ahead in the race for the Champions League places.
This team is still flawed, as we saw in those dodgy moments at the end, but there is a huge amount of character and spirit there too. For a young team, going to grounds up and down the country, as well as in Europe, and getting win after win, is seriously impressive.
