Willian reveals he become a Chelsea fan before his move to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea winger Willian has been speaking about his history at the club, and the love he fees for the side he’s been at since 2013.

In quotes carried by Football.London, Willian made it clear that he’s loved life at Stamford Bridge on the occasion of reaching his 300th match for us.

“I have to be proud [about reaching 300 games].”

“To achieve this number for this club is unbelievable. It was my dream to come to play for Chelsea. Always I wanted to play for this club,” he went on.

“I had this affection with this club since they made an offer for me when I was at Shakhtar. I started watching the games and supporting this team,” he finished.

We love the idea of a young Willian out in Russia watching his future team on a dodgy stream. For all the controversy about him, he’s been a really loyal player for us over the years, and these quotes make it clear he loves us too.

He’s been back to his best recently scoring vital goals against Brighton and Lille, and while Frank Lampard might not be able to count on him for 300 more games, whatever he does get you can be sure will be competed at 100%.
