Two of Chelsea’s in-form youngsters close to agreeing new 5-year contracts

Talks are progressing well between Chelsea and the representatives of Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham over signing new and improved 5-year contracts at the club, according to Sky Sports.

Both players have been called up into the latest England squad for the next round for Euro 2020 qualifiers, and Tammy Abraham recently celebrated his 22nd birthday by scoring for Chelsea in the Champions League.

To say things are going well for the pair this season would be a massive understatement.

Sky believe that both are close to agreeing their new deals with Chelsea committing their long term future to the club, like a host of their academy counterparts have done at the club already.

Tomori has become a regular starter under Frank Lampard and has gone from his 4th choice centre back to his 1st or 2nd in the space of just 4 weeks.

The club will now be keen to get these deals over the line.
