Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori selected in senior England squad

Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have both been included in the England squad to face the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

The rumours have been flying around all day, and it’s now been confirmed by England manager Gareth Southgate.

They  join Ross Barkley and Mason Mount in the setup, as Chelsea’s number of players in the Three Lions squad continues to rise. From just Ruben Loftus-Cheek at the World Cup in 2018, we’re now up to 4. How many will there be by 2022?

These two additions are particularly important because they both are eligible to play for Nigeria. If they are started or brought on by Southgate in either of the two upcoming games, they will then be locked in to play for England for life.

Both are getting their rewards for excellent seasons so far, with Fikayo even assisting Tammy in the Champions League last night.

Good luck boys – do us proud!
