Tammy Abraham chosen as frontman for anti-racism campaign

Tammy Abraham will one of the key players fronting the Premier League’s new “No Room for Racism” campaign which begins this weekend, with the backing of the FA, Kick it Out and the police.

The Telegraph report that the Chelsea striker will join some of his fellow England stars, including Raheem Sterling and Jordan Pickford, to be one of the faces of the new push to eliminate racism in domestic game.

All were involved in the squad that suffered the horrible abuse in Bulgaria this week, and like rest of the squad and the media there they’ve all condemned what happened.

It’s another sign of Tammy’s rising profile in the game. From a player some called “Championship standard”, he’s now Premier League top scorer in mid-October, and playing for England and fronting major causes.

Knowing Tammy, he will take it all in his distinctive long stride. His charm and sweet smile make him as good a star for any campaign as he is for our team.
