Pedro has chance to light up Chelsea fans faces in a big game again against Man U

Last August, it seemed like Pedro was set for an Indian summer at Chelsea. In Maurizio Sarri’s early friendlies he was the star, and he took advantage of Eden Hazard’s extended break after the World Cup to stake an early claim for a place.

He didn’t end up being as key as was hoped, and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s emergence hurt his game time; but as we’ve come to expect from the former Barcelona man he made some vital contributions along the way.

This season has seen another step down in playing time, as Christian Pulisic has replaced Hazard in the pecking order ahead of him.

Pedro isn’t even making the squad sometimes. This looks like the end for him, realistically, but Man Utd in the cup tomorrow will be a great chance for him to play in a meaningful game.

We always count on him for a goal when it matters, and tomorrow will be no different.
