Frustrations continue for Chelsea striker as Crystal Palace weigh up move

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is likely to look at a move away from Stamford Bridge this January in the search for first team football, if things stay the way they are.

The France World Cup winner has found himself as a third choice striker at Chelsea this season behind Michy Batshuayi, and mainly Tammy Abraham.

The Blues number 9 is joint top goal scorer in the Premier League so far this season and is performing well. This is enough to keep Giroud firmly rooted in the bench.

At his age, Giroud has been very public in saying that he wants regular first team football, so he will certainly be getting frustrated right now.

Crystal Palace might be a club willing to offer him a route away from Chelsea, according to The Daily Mail, who say Palace are ‘weighing up a move’ for Giroud.

Giroud isn’t the striker that Palace were expected to pursue in January, with Batshuayi being talked about there – but Giroud might actually be more achievable for them due to Frank Lampard probably fancying Batshuayi over him slightly right now.
