Frank Lampard has been nominated for the Premier League manager of the month award for September.
The Chelsea boss oversaw two wins out of 3 in the last 30 days, with the third game being a loss against table topping Liverpool that could easily have been a draw.
It’s great to see Frank getting recognition, especially as not one of our players made the shortlist. That is an oversight, but Lampard’s inclusion show that at least someone was paying attention.

Jugen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers are likely to pip Lampard to the award this time, but getting a nomination in only your second month in the division is pretty good going. At this rate, he will pick up a win before too long.
October sees us take on Ajax in the Champions League and Man U in the Carabao Cup, but our three very winnable league games against Southampton, Newcastle and Burnley should give our manager the perfect springboard to pick up back to back nominations at least, if not his first win.
