Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic has been having a hard time since arriving at the club, but it looks like he’s about to turn a corner.
Quotes from the American carried on the Metro show that’s what his thinking is. He’s struggled for minutes so far in his Chelsea career, but this weekend saw him make a significant impact off the bench against Newcastle, and the youngster is hoping for more chances to make a similar impact.
“It was a really good game, happy for the team, had a strong performance, they defended really well, and I was happy to make an impact,” Pulisic said to the media after the game.
“I just don’t have that scoring touch but I know it will come back.”
It’s true that just before his important contribution to the Chelsea goal he had fluffed a chance that looked like it was going to be decisive. It was therefore a real relief to see him get a big monkey off his back by making the decisive moment that helped us win the game.
