Chelsea get massive boost for second half of crucial Ajax ties

Chelsea face a tough game on Wednesday when they head to Amsterdam to take on Ajax, and the fate of the group will depend on their games against the Dutch team.

After losing to Valencia at home in the first game, Chelsea won in Lille and head to Holland knowing that only will a win will allow them to really regain control of their fate.

The return leg of this tie, in London on November 7th, has just been made a little easier by the news, as reported on Sky Sports, that the Eredivisie champions won’t be able to bring any fans to Stamford Bridge.

Their fans had caused trouble in games at Benfica last season, and the again in Spain, and that proved to be enough to provoke a fine and this one game ban.

Chelsea gain the benefit, with the away side now really up against a hostile atmosphere without their loyal fans on hand.
