Over the past few years I have actually lost count of players that Chelsea have signed who have never or will never play a senior match for the club.
Most have been sent out in to the loan army and have just faded away.
Without getting into the politics of these purchases (I realise these types of signing to loan out deals earn the club money), we are set to have yet another Chelsea ‘player’ who will never play for the senior team.
Brazilian Nathan has decided that he won’t be renewing a contract with Chelsea and wishes to stay at his loan club Atletico Mineiro, according to a report from Yahoo.
The 23-year old arrived at Chelsea in 2015 and has never played a senior minute of football for the club.
He is enjoying a good spell at Mineiro now and is getting regular game time, so understandably he is keen to stay there.
