Wolves Live left red-faced after Marcos Alonso tweet doesn’t age well

A tweet regarding Marcos Alonso sent out by Wolves Live before yesterday’s clash with Chelsea really hasn’t aged well for them.

We have to admit, the prospect of Emerson Palmieri missing out on yesterday’s game after the superb season that he was enjoying was a bit of a concern to us.

Marcos Alonso is not as defensively secure, and Adama Traore (one of the fastest players in the Premier League) is renown for being a nightmare for opposing full-backs.

Our concerns proved to be optimism among the Wolves faithful, with Wolves Live sending out the below tweet on Saturday afternoon after the teams were announced.

Unfortunately for Wolves, and Adama himself, Alonso did not disgrace himself yesterday. Adama scarcely had a sniff, which has left Wolves Live looking a tad red-faced.

Even if Alonso performed well, we will still welcome the return of Emerson Palmieri with open arms, especially with the Liverpool game on the horizon…
