This Chelsea player may have already lost the faith of manager Frank Lampard

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has already developed a reputation for giving our younger players a chance, but it appears as though new-boy Christian Pulisic is yet to earn his faith.

Pulisic was given opportunities in the early stages of the season and started our UEFA Super Cup defeat to Liverpool, but he has been out of the starting eleven for the past two matches.

Not only has he lost his starting spot, but it looks as though he’s even stuck behind Pedro in the pecking order, with the ageing Spaniard’s contract set to expire at the end of the season.

his As Mason Mount left the field injured during our clash with Valencia this evening, Lampard looked to his bench and shunned Pulisic, who will having been desperate for an opportunity to shine.

Perhaps we’re reading too far into it, or perhaps Lampard has his doubts as to the American’s readiness. Either way, he doesn’t look likely to be as heavily involved as we initially predicted…
