(Video): Mateo Kovacic plays postage stamp pass for Chelsea teammate Willian

Did you see Mateo Kovacic’s incredible cross-field pass for Willian during the first-half of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Valencia?

If not, why not?

The Croat is renown for being a smooth operator in the middle of the park, but scarcely do we see him attempting glory balls from deep midfield areas.

He channeled his inner Cesc Fabregas here, though, and pinged a glorious pass through the Valencia back-line, which planted onto the grateful chest of Willian.

Have a look at it in the clip below. How chuffing satisfying is that?

All Mateo is lacking is his first Chelsea goal, he has now fully adapted to life at this club and is comfortably one of our most important midfield players.

Once he gets on the scoresheet (whenever that may be) it’ll no doubt be a huge weight lifted off his shoulders, and further cause for celebration on side of things.
