The figure that Chelsea raised through player sales in the summer of 2019

Chelsea brought in £230M through player sales in the summer transfer window, according to figures provided in an article by Football London.

Marina Granovskaia oftentimes receives much adulation for her good work at the negotiation table, and it’s easy to see why when we’re banking figures like that in a single transfer window.

While Chelsea may not have been able to spend money this summer, other than turning Mateo Kovacic’s initial loan into a permanent deal, Marina was still busy at work throughout its duration.

We had plenty of deadwood to shift, and he ensured that we received the maximum possible in return. As a result, Football London report that we have £230M in the bank.

The bulk of that will (hopefully) go into Frank Lampard’s pocket ahead of the January window and summer of 2020. He can really begin to build the squad that he wants to work with at Chelsea.
