With two goals during the first-half between Chelsea and Wolves, Tammy Abraham surpassed the goal tallies of both of last season’s big-name centre-forwards.
Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain, who have scored bags of goals elsewhere, fell short at Chelsea, despite Maurizio Sarri’s best efforts to get them firing at the forefront of his attack.
Olivier Giroud was our best striker last season, which all due respect to him, is a little bit depressing. He doesn’t look likely to get many opportunities this time around, though. Not with Tammy around.
As posted by Coral on Twitter, Abraham has now surpassed both Morata and Higuain’s Premier League tallies from last season – and he’s score those six goals in just three games!
Record for Chelsea in the Premier League in 2018/19:
Álvaro Morata: 16 games, 5 goals
Gonzalo Higuaín: 14 games, 5 goalsRecord for Chelsea in the Premier League in 2019/20:
Tammy Abraham: 5 games, 6 goals

While we recognise that this rate of scoring is unsustainable, it is exciting to wonder how many goals Abraham could score this season if he stays healthy.
Oh, and while we were typing out the above sentence, Tammy scored again. THAT’S SEVEN GOALS!
