Pundit Ian Wright has made his prediction for Sunday’s clash between Chelsea and Liverpool – and it’s not good news for us Blues fans, report the Metro.
Chelsea are the underdogs heading into tomorrow’s contest, with Liverpool currently boasting a perfect record at the top of the Premier League table.
The Blues managed to go toe-to-toe with the European champions during the UEFA Super Cup, but it were Liverpool who ended up coming up trumps.
We believe that we’re in with a fighting chance of getting a result tomorrow afternoon, but Ian Wright predicts that we will fall short.
Wright is quoted by the Metro predicting that Liverpool will be the victors when the two sides take to the turf at Stamford Bridge:
“I don’t know any team that can handle that front three, they are absolutely magnificent. ‘From a Chelsea point of view, they are going to struggle, they are going to need to score goals. ‘Let’s see what happens. It’s a really intriguing game but I think Liverpool will win on Sunday.”
He is entitled to his opinions, and it’s certainly not absurd to suggest that we’ll lose, but we will be remaining positive that we can pull a result out of the bag.
