It’s another day and another Callum Hudson-Odoi transfer update, but this time there’s some added juice.
The winger has gone full circle now, from looking to force a transfer to Bayern Munich last January, to now being reported as having “no intention to leave” by Nicolo Schira, the Italian transfer guru whose Tweet you can see embedded here:
#Chelsea are in talks with Callum #HudsonOdoi’s agent and want to renew the contract until 2024. A deal worth €8M a year plus bonuses has been proposed. #BayernMunchen and #AtleticoMadrid are keen on acquiring his services, although he has no intention to leave. #transfers #CFC

The interesting part here really is not that he is in talks with Chelsea over a new deal. That’s been clear for a very long time now. Or that he wants to stay – that’s also looked increasingly likely since his injury in the spring.
The new part is that Atletico Madrid are joining Bayern Munich in the chase for the England winger.
That need not be a threat right now – we’re back playing in the Champions League and have an inspiring manager playing the youth. But if things go awry this season we need to watch out – the Spanish side are presenting their own tempting case for Europe’s top youngsters now.
