Liverpool star names two Chelsea players he admires in his position

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is finally back in action after a very very long injury layoff, and the England midfielder should be a real model for our own injured starts on how to battle the pain and loneliness of a bad injury.

He’s now back playing for Liverpool, and has progressed well enough to get a callup for England from Gareth Southgate for this international break. It was with the national team that he got the chance to talk about the players in his position

In quotes carried by the Metro, the midfielder named two Chelsea players in his position whom he admires – and in fact, they’re both in this England squad with the Liverpool man.

“I really like what Mason Mount has been doing. Ross Barkley, as well, can do it really well,” the Ox said. Those are two players he’s going to be directly competing with for minutes over the years at England – hopefully they can learn a few things off him as well as the other way round.

They all have less than a year to show Gareth why they should be starting at the Euros.
