Chelsea anxiously await the results of a late fitness test today for midfielder Mason Mount to see if he will recover from an ankle injury in time to face Liverpool on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men will provide a huge test for Chelsea once again, one they have already competed well in this season in the Super Cup Final.
However, Klopp’s Liverpool remain the only team in the top division to win every match so far and will be full of confidence.
Chelsea are still unlikely to have N’Golo Kante or Antonio Rudiger available. Kante is fit, but not match fit, according to Frank Lampard. Rudiger is still nursing a small groin injury.
Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi will play for the under 23s today, so also wont be back in yet.
Lampard confirms Antonio Rudiger is out on Sunday. He also says Hudson-Odoi and Reece James play for the U23s tomorrow, while saying that he's not the saviour of Chelsea's academy #CFC https://t.co/yI7gnhid8g

Lampard round-up:
– Mount could face Liverpool with late fitness test (as reported)
– Kante is fit but not match fit in Frank's opinion
– Twitter need to make clear action on racism
– Spoke to CHO as soon as he joined to get him to sign (as reported)
– Klopp respect #CFC— Nizaar Kinsella (@NizaarKinsella) September 20, 2019
Emerson is one player who should be back in contention after successfully being involved in full training this week.
I believe that Lampard will opt for 3 at the back again in order to have that extra body in defence against a superb attacking force, and also due to the fact that Kante is still out.
Predicted Xl (3-4-3) –
Kepa, Zouma, Christensen, Tomori, Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kovacic, Emerson, Pulisic, Willian, Abraham.
