Jorginho explains in what area Chelsea “need to be better”

Jorginho has been moaning about Chelsea attacking players and their inability to give his team the lead against Brighton on Saturday.

In quotes carried by the Evening Standard, the midfielder was heard to moan that “[Chelsea] need to be better.”

“We needed to create a lot [in order to score], but I think we need to be better because we can’t create how we did and score just two goals,” the Italy international opined.

He’s in good position to make judgments after his own good performance in the game, and he’s taking advantage of it. He does to love point and give orders on the pitch, clearly he has high standards for his colleagues off it too.

This is why Frank Lampard likes him, and why he calls him a leader. He didn’t flinch taking that penalty to put his team ahead, and he may have been turning to his teammates after that and said to them “that’s how you do it” after so many wayward efforts from them.

To be fair, they have been scoring freely. Everyone’s allowed a day off now and again.
