The hilarious conversation between Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante after Chelsea played Leicester

N’Golo Kante is widely known as a very humble man, he will be always be the last football player to start flashing the cash and needing flashy cars.

In fact, it’s well known that Kante used to drive a Mini Cooper, despite being able to literally afford a brand new Ferrari if he wanted to.

He is someone who doesn’t need the best of everything, he just plays the game because he loves it.

His Chelsea team recently matched up against his former side Leicester City in the Premier League. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, but it was a chance for N’Golo to see some of his former team mates of whom he won the league with.

One of those was of course Jamie Vardy, who has revealed that Kante actually popped in to the Leicester City dressing rooms after the match to say hello.

Vardy has been recalling what was said that day, and some other amusing moments whilst the pair were together at Leicester, as reported by Football London.

He said:

“What a pleasure it was to play alongside N’Golo!

“He is an adorable guy alongside being a fantastic footballer: when we lost the ball, wherever that happened on the pitch, boom, he would appear and win it back for us.

“In training, it was so easy for him that I was convinced that he intentionally gave the ball away sometimes just to enjoy winning it back again.

“One day he said to us that he was seriously considering running to the training centre each day, which came from the fact that he would always add in a little running session for himself.

“In the moment, we were all a bit taken aback and convinced him not to. In any case, each time that we saw him arrive at training with his Mini Cooper, we were reassured.

“Last month, after our match at Stamford Bridge, he came to say hello to us in the dressing room.

“The first thing that I asked him was: ‘Are you still driving your Mini Cooper, mate?

“He said to me that he had sent the model that he had at Leicester back to France but that he had bought a new Mini Cooper in the meantime!”
