Former Chelsea boss Mourinho makes bizarre claim about best career experience

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has raised eyebrows by claiming that Real Madrid provided him with the best period of his career to date.

Mourinho won back-to-back Premier League titles at Chelsea, as well as a treble with Inter Milan. The common assumption was that those were the two clubs he had the greatest connection with.

However, The Special One has now brought that into question after hailing his stint at Real Madrid as the best of his career, even though it ended on such a sour note when he departed.

Mourinho is quoted by FourFourTwo saying:

“Real Madrid was my best experience because of what I learned as a coach, as a man, because of the lessons I took in my career and in my life. It is the best memory of my career, it was fantastic.”

We feel a little bit offended by this, especially considering Real Madrid turned their back on him towards the end, even after he disrupted Pep Guardiola’s period of Spanish dominance.

Although, he did get sacked by Chelsea twice, so you couldn’t really blame him if he held hard feelings against his former employers…
