Chelsea’s transfer ban could be reduced – but would that be a bad thing for some fans?

This is just the kind of news that gets Chelsea fans excited.

The Blues were banned from making transfer this summer, which has made it a very interesting season so far.

We’ve been forced to use lots of youth players and returning loanees, meaning first team chances for those who might have through they were never going to get one.

We’re supposed to have another window of ban to go, but according to the Sun yesterday, that might not prove to be the case. They say that the club has informed agents that they are expecting to be able to operate normally again in January.

It seems that they are hopeful of being able to get the ban reduced on appeal, from two windows down to one (which we have already served).

It would certainly be exciting to be able to jump back into transfers again, but aren’t we enjoying a season off? The positivity around the club now that the team is full of youngsters is hard to match, and we would throw that all in the bin if we go out and sign the new Alvaro Morata all over again.
