Chelsea v Liverpool injury news: Midfielder looks set to miss out for the visitors

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is likely to miss out on today’s game despite making a return to first-team training this week, according to Goal.

While we should not be relying on our opposition’s injuries for us to secure a positive result, these are exceptional circumstances. Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world at this point in time.

That’s why we are forced to celebrate Goal’s claim that Naby Keita, a key asset in midfield for the European champions, is unlikely to be fit enough to be involved in today’s game.

Keita returned to first-team training this week, but it’s Goal’s belief that Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to deem including him in the starting eleven as worth the risk.

That will only prove to be such a positive for us if either N’Golo Kante or Mason Mount are themselves able to be involved in the contest. We’re keeping our fingers tightly crossed.
