Chelsea fans have got the Eden Hazard banner out for today’s clash with Liverpool, even after the Belgian departed and signed for Real Madrid!
Hazard was worshipped like a king at Stamford Bridge, but felt inclined to follow his childhood dream of becoming a Real Madrid player – which we would never be able to hold against him.
He is still thought of very highly among the Chelsea community, even post-departure. The match-goers have demonstrated that affection at the Bridge this afternoon.
Ahead of kick-off for today’s big game, the Hazard banner was unveiled at the Matthew Harding end…

That’s an unambiguous invitation for Eden to come back to the Bridge once he realises that the current mess at Real Madrid is not worth the hassle.
Next summer sounds good to us…
