Jorginho is a divisive player at Chelsea for many reasons. His position and style of play is a major sticking point, with some objecting to his limited range of skills, and others pointing to how developed those specialist skills are.
His strong ties to our controversial former manager Maurizio Sarri is clearly another issue – whether stated or not, it’s the basis of many arguments about his ability.
Whether he’s a good player is an unwinnable argument either way really, but one stick that has been constantly used to beat him by his detractors is a lack of assists. He didn’t manage any last season, and that’s the first piece of evidence used by anyone looking to attack him.
