Chelsea forward puts inter-club rivalry aside to congratulate his teammate

Michy Batshuayi has taken to Twitter to congratulate Chelsea striker rival Tammy Abraham on scoring his first ever hat-trick for the Blues.

Batshuayi may have thought he would be given frequent opportunities under Frank Lampard, but the scintillating form of Chelsea-bred Tammy is keeping him among the substitutes.

The Belgian does not appear bitter about it, though. Rather he went out of his way to give Abraham a virtual pat on the back with this tweet he sent out after the game.

Batshuayi may be handed a start against former employers Valencia midweek, with the upcoming Carabao Cup third-round clash with Grimsby Town another realistic chance at getting some minutes under his belt.

He does not stand much of a chance of breaking through into the Premier League starting eleven at this point in time, but things can change very quickly, so he needs to impress with every chance he’s given.
