Ajax have received a quite frankly laughable allocation for their Champions League trip to Stamford Bridge later this season.
You’d think that a clash between two European giants in Europe’s most illustrious club competition would pack the stands, with representatives of both teams cheering their teams into success.
However, according to a report published by the Daily Mail, Ajax will be given just 833 seats to distribute for their trip to West London in the Champions League when the two sides meet later this season.
That’s as a result of Ajax fans’ actions in England’s capital city when they faced Tottenham in the semi-final of the competition last time around, a tie which they later absolutely bottled.
We understand these restrictions being imposed on clubs, but it’s sad to see the minority ruining the occasion for the bulk of the law abiding supporters. We would have loved to see thousands making the trip from Amsterdam to London.
