95% and 94% pass success rate – The 2 Chelsea players who can hold their heads high after defeat

Chelsea were left disappointed and frustrated last night as they lost their opening Champions League match 1-0 at home to Valencia.

It was a game that seemed there for the taking with the Blues controlling the game in large parts. They failed to breakdown the visitors defence and ended up throwing it away in the second half.

Frank Lampard will be keen to move on and work on the weaknesses ahead of the Liverpool match on Sunday.

Two players in particular though can certainly feel good about their individual performances and proved to be very reliable on the ball.

Defender Andreas Christensen finished the game with a 95% pass completion rate, according to the Chelsea website.

The Danish international played at the heart of the Chelsea defence and was very composed all night.

As was Jorginho, who had a 94% pass completion rate, and was pinnacle to Chelsea’s play as always.

It was just a shame they could not be on the winning side.
