Young Chelsea star will “definitely” do a very special celebration

They say you should always pass forward a good deed, and it sounds like that’s exactly what Callum Hudson-Odoi is planning.

The winger was on the receiving end of a good deed in 2014, when he was a ballboy at Stamford Bridge. Samuel Eto’o banged in a mythical hattrick against Man United, and after his third he went to celebrate with a ballboy. That boy was CHO.

Now, when asked about it by the club’s official website, the winger gave us some memories about what had happened on that day, and how he wanted to carry on the tradition:

“When he started celebrating, I was delighted and he just saw me, came over and held my hand. For a young boy seeing a professional footballer coming to do that for you, it was crazy. I was smiling so much,” the winger reminisced.

When asked whether he would do a similar celebration the next time he scores at the Bridge, his answer was clear:

“Yeah definitely. If I score a goal and I see someone there, I’d definitely celebrate with them. For them it would be like a dream as well. They would feel like I felt at the time so that would be a chance for me to give back to them.”

Let’s hope he gets the chance next week when we take on Sheffield United!
