“He is a very strong boy” – Chelsea captain impressed by young forward’s heart

Chelsea beat Norwich 3-2 at Carrow Road yesterday, with two of their efforts coming from Tammy Abraham.

After 15 years at the club, the striker was still looking for his first goal, and like London buses, the first was soon followed by the second.

Speaking to the Chelsea official website, the club captain Cesar Azpilicueta spoke in glowing terms about the youngster’s impact since he arrived back for preseason training, and now he’s off the mark for his boyhood club, Azpi seems certain that the 21 year old will be banging them in for fun.

“I am very happy because I think these two goals will give him a lot of confidence. He is a very strong boy and I am very happy with him and hopefully he can score many more,” Azpi said.

By strong he means mentally strong (although he is also physically impressive too), and we’ve seen great evidence of that. Despite having not managed to net in any previous appearance for the club, he stepped up and banged in two superb goals in Norfolk.

Let’s see some more please Tammy!
