Chelsea first-team pair set to feature against Liverpool in PL2 tonight

Chelsea first-teamers Antonio Rudiger and Michy Batshuayi are set to feature in a PL2 game against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge tonight, the club have revealed on their official website.

Rudiger suffered a knee injury towards the tail end of last season which has seen him miss the entirety of our pre-season campaign and the beginning of the 2019/20 campaign.

We have certainly felt the German’s absence, with Chelsea’s backline looking extremely precarious in all three of our fixtures under the stewardship of Frank Lampard to date.

Chelsea’s attack could also do with the potency of Michy Batshuayi, who has been missing from the match day squads thus far with no real explanation provided by Lampard.

Both players will have a chance to get some minutes under their belts tonight, with Chelsea’s official club website confirming that they will feature against Liverpool in PL2.

Good luck, lads… and don’t get yourselves injured.
